CORVINO TRAX

Marco Corvino débute en 1985 sa carrière professionnelle de DJ sur les ondes de plusieurs émissions de radio italiennes, parmi les plus populaires en Italie telles que: Radio Orion 2, Rare Grooves, Rec & Play, Mix in Time, « Mastermix » par Radio Italia Network, Radio Marte Stéréo et Radio Club 91. En 1990, débute une collaboration avec l’équipe de promotion Angels Of Love, laquelle durera 9 ans aux côtés des meilleurs artistes de l’horizon mondial de la danse. 

Il tournait à cette époque aux É-U (Miami), en France, en Allemagne, en Angleterre, et aux Pays Bas. Au début des années ’90, Marco a ses premiers contacts avec des studios d’enregistrement; puis en 1995 en collaboration avec Marco Carola, son premier disque « Don’t U Know » sort sur UMM Records. En 1996, il réalise « Primo » sur M.A.W. Records où il y apparaît sous le pseudonyme « Corvino Traxx », lequel il utilise lors de sa collaboration avec Master At Work. En 1997, il sort « Neapolis » sur Vinyl Peace Records, propriété canadienne du label de Dino et Terry. Toujours en 1997, il produit un remix pour Dixie Jox & D Minor sur AOL Records sous l’alias Java Brothers (Marco Corvino et Furriello Bros), ainsi qu’un remix sur Planet Records intitulé « Lovin’ You » dont une version par Stefano Miele.

En 1999 « El Sol » sort sur Test Records et durant cette même année, Marco réalise « One Day In Rio », sous le pseudonyme « Dual Key » (Marco Corvino et Maurizio B-Flat), très apprécié par la scène « world house » et particulièrement par Tony Humphries qui l’a revu pour ensuite le publier sur le label américain Sound On Wax Records, faisant voyager ce EP à travers le monde. Son expérience auprès d’équipes de studio progresse également grâce aux nombreuses collaborations entre Marco et de prestigieux chanteurs: Mika Clausell, Gerideau, Brian Chambell, Simon Cooper, Marcello Coleman et Keith Thompson pour n’en nommer que quelques uns. Marco réalise avec ces artistes plusieurs projets de styles différents, de la danse au « chill », du hip hop au fusion et R’N’B . Dans le studio Zer081 naissent des projets tels que

« Surfers » sorti sur Undiscovered, et ensuite distribué sur Virgin. Le projet « Surfer » oscille entre des sonorités house classiques au bossanova, incorporant des éléments de « chill », funk et soul, démontrant l’esprit ouvert de ce jeune artiste napolitain. Arrive un nouveau label en 2003 souhaité par l’équipe de Zer081; « Deck » est le nom qui lui est donné, distribué par Karma. « Deck » naît à titre de label indépendant, ayant comme objectif de procurer des outils de qualité pour les DJs. La première publication sur Deck est par DJ Simi & Master Keys. Le EP est intitulé « What » et obtient un énorme succès sur la scène danse mondiale. Corvino Traxx et Lino « D » Meglio produisent « Is Love » sur le même label. Par la suite, paraîtra avec Frank Lengo un projet latin house intitulé « Aguadulce » sur Net’s Work International, s’inspirant de l’éventail de productions réalisées dans le passé par l’artiste napolitain.

En 2004, le travail de studio prenant de l’ampleur, Marco décide d’aller de l’avant avec d’autres projets des plus divers: réalisé sur Daddy’s Groove On Crowd Limited et intitulé « Tribute » afin de rejoindre un jeune auditoire, la création avec Dj Simi de « Evertybody Rocks » sur Deck Records, et par la suite « Who » , toujours chez Daddy’s Groove On Crowd Limited. Cette parution fut pour ce label un vif succès par la vente de plus de 5 000 copies à travers le monde. L’année 2005 débute sous le signe de productions: sur Deck est réalisé « Is Love » produit par Marco Corvino Traxx et Lino « D » Meglio. Marco collabore également avec plusieurs des plus prestigieuses revues italiennes telles que ORBEAT, DISCOID, JAY CULTURE, TREND DAYS, TONIGHT. Ses productions à succès entraînent une montée en flèche des engagements de Marco jusqu’à proposer son propre son dans les meilleurs endroits de la région de la Campania sur une base hebdomadaire. Marco Corvino réalise un grand nombre de compilations: dès 1996; il est présent sur Future Traxx Vol. 1, sur UMM (Corvino TRAXX - Don’t You Know) 1996, Masters At Work Vol. 1, sur Masters At Work Records (Corvino TRAXX Primo) 1997, sur Mr. Bongo - Latin Track (Corvino TRAXX - Primo) 1998, Curiosity Latin Machine (Corvino TRAXX - Primo) 1998, sur Sony Italia - Suburbia Compilation (Marco Corvino -Neapolis) 1999, Two Label TBA Zurich - House Station Level (Cormain - EL SOL) 2001, sur Sonido Denso - Realhouse in IBIZA (Cormain - The Bounza and Cormain EL SOL) 2001, sur Vendetta Records - Eibi-Si’ House Vol. 3 (Cormain - The

Bounza) 2002. En 2003, avec la collaboration de son ami et collègue Lino « D » Meglio, Marco s’engage dans un nouveau projet intitulé Street Walker. C’est fantastique de débuter avec l’une des plus belles voix masculines de la musique house, celle de Keith Thompson. Ils auront par la suite un remix de la chanson « The Beat » sur Alpha Records, laquelle leur permettra d’atteindre des places de choix au classement mondial.

Marc Corvino et Lino « D » Meglio créent le projet Daddy’s Groove sur Crowd Limited, dont la première parution s’intitule « Tribute ». Un projet soul sortira sur Beside Records intitulé Rise & Duck - Chocolate, dont les versions sont traitées par le duo quasi consolidé Production Corvino Traxx & Lino « D » Meglio. En 2005 à Naples, il crée en collaboration avec Antonio Fresa The Op, une école pour DJs, point de référence pour plusieurs jeunes voulant apprivoiser ce métier. En 2006 sur Tonik Records, Corvino Traxx et Lino « D » Meglio dévoile e« Contrast EP ». Lors du Miami WMC 06, on y présentera Corvino Traxx - Everyday qui réalise sur SoulGroove Records avec Net’s Work International - Dynamicode - Sun City (Frank Corvino Traxx beat. Frank Lengo). Durant cette même année est réalisé Daddy’s Groove - Rendez-Vous sur Universal Music, composition sous licence figurant sur de nombreuses compilations en Italie sous Striscia La Compilation, Hot Party, Hot Dance Mania, mondialement sous Universal Music Dance Compilation. Au cours de cette période, Marco travaillera également dans l’environnement cinématographique en participant à la création de plusieurs trames sonores telles que « La leggenda del principe di San Severo », une bande dessinée de Rai Trade, trames sonores de courts métrages d’origine sociale, tels que « Napoli @ 1 » e « Napoli @ 2 ». Au cours de cette même année, il participe également à la trame sonore du DVD portant sur le Moto Cross Italian Championship. En 2007, il devient artiste et représentant du répertoire du nouveau label Transalp Records distribué à travers le monde sur Vinyl par Lavel One. La première publication est un projet intitulé Detail - Be My Self, la seconde est Unknown Feat Robert Owens - Comme Together. En avril de cette même année, Xploid Rec Good Of Us - Corvino Traxx & Lino « D » Meglio remix en 2008, sur Solar Recording Digital, Lino « D » Meglio & Corvinoi Traxx présentent le EP « Minot Alia ». Sous le label digital Groove Sensé Recording, ils présentent Feel Like - Shanghai, sur Iberican

Recording Digital Lino & Corvino présentent le EP « Odds & Sods ». Sous Stereo Production, ils remixent DJ Koutaroua - Réaction - Lino & Corvino Remix. Au cours de cette même année, Marco Corvino joue à ADE 08, Amsterdam Dance Event. En 2009, Marco joue lors d’une tournée en Chine dans la plupart des clubs de Beijing, Shanghai et Hong Kong. En 2010, Marco crée un nouveau projet musical dont le nom est GROOVE TEMPLATE, dont la publication est sur Craft In Motion sur Net’s Work International, EP visuel sur Polluted Records, Silicon Dust - Play With You - Groove Template Remix. En 2011, Corvino Traxx feat De La Kyo - Voga Records, Corvino Traxx - Deep Dark - Voga Records, sur Net’s Work Records Hey Oh Let’s Go - Corvino Traxx remix, sur Animal Music Naples Groove - Corvino Traxx & Swared remix, sur Miniaturec Corvino Traxx & Swared presents Orient Express.

Marco continue à enseigner à The Op et est également impliqué dans la production de son premier LP qui devrait sortir l’an prochain et qui sera intitulé « IN MY LIFE ».

Marco Corvino began working as DJ in a professional way in many Italian radio program shows since 1985, including some of the most famous in Italy such as: Radio Orion 2, Rare Grooves, Rec & Play, Mix in Time, “Mastermix” by Radio Italia Network, Radio Marte Stereo and Radio Club 91. In 1990 he started cooperating with the Angels Of Love promoters crew. With the Angels Of Love Marco collaborated for nine years, together with all the best artists of the world dance panorama.

At that time he was spinning in the USA (Miami), France, Germany, England, Low Countries. In the first ’90 Marco had his first approaches with the recording studios and in 1995 his first record “Don’t U Know” was released on UMM records, with the cooperation of Marco Carola. In 1996 he realized “Primo” on M.A.W. records, where Corvino appears with the pseudonym “Corvino Traxx”, used for the cooperation between him and the Masters At Work. In 1997 was released “Neapolis” on Vinyl Peace records, the Canadian label property of Dino and Terry. Still in 1997 he produced a remix for Dixie Jox & D Minor on AOL records, with the alias Java Brothers (Marco Corvino and Furriello Bros) and a remix on Planet Records named “Lovin’ You” with a version by Stefano Miele.

In 1999 was released “EL Sol” on Test records and in the same year Marco realized “One Day In Rio”, with the pseudonym Dual Key (Marco Corvino and Maurizio B-Flat), very appreciated by the world house scene and especially by Tony Humphries, which reviewed it and then released it on the American label Sound On Wax records, bringing this ep around the world. His experience in studio grew up thanks also to the many cooperations between Marco and prestigious singers, Mika Clausell, Gerideau, Brian Chambell, Simon Cooper, Marcello Coleman and Keith Thompson to name some of them. With these artists Marco realized many projects in different styles, from dance to chill, from hip hop to fusion and R‘N’ B. In the Zer081 studio were born projects like “Surfers” released on Undiscovered and later distributed by Virgin. The Surfer project ranges from classic house sonorities to bossanova, with chill, funk and soul elements, showing the open mind of this young Neapolitan artist. In 2003 comes a new label desired by the Zer081 team, “Deck” is the name the trio wanted to give to this new label distributed by Karma. Deck was born as independent label, aiming to bring quality DJ tools. The first release on Deck was by DJ Simi & Master Keys. The ep is named “What” and it has found a big success in the world dance panorama. On the same label Corvino Traxx & Lino “D” Meglio produced “Is Love”. Subsequently, with Frank Lengo, brings out a Latin House project called “Aguadulce” on Net’s work International. It is inspired to the range of productions previously realized by the Neapolitan artist.

In 2004, the studio work intensifies and Marco decides to go ahead with more projects in various directions: it is realised by Daddy’s Groove on Crowd Limited entitled “Tribute”, aimed at young audiences, with Dj Simi creates “Everybody Rock” on Deck records, then later “Who”, still a Daddy’s Groove on Crowd Limited. This release has been a real success for the label, selling more than 5.000 copies all over the world The year 2005 begins under the sign of the productions: on Deck it is realised “Is Love”, produced by Marco Corvino Traxx and Lino “D” Meglio. Marco also cooperates with some of the most famous Italian magazines as ORBEAT, DISCOID, JAY CULTURE, TREND DAYS, TONIGHT. The found successes with his productions have meant that the gigs of Marco giddily increased, up to propose his own sound in the best locals of the Campania region with a weekly frequency. Marco Corvino also realized a big number of compilations: starting from 1996 he has been present on Future Traxx vol.1, on UMM (Corvino TRAXX – Don’t you know) 1996, Masters at work vol.1, on Masters at Work records (Corvino TRAXX- Primo-)1997, on Mr. Bongo – Latin track (Corvino TRAXX – Primo)1998, on BBE – Curiosity latin machine (Corvino TRAXX Primo) 1998, on Sony Italia – Suburbia compilation (Marco Corvino – Neapolis) 1999, Two label TBA Zurich – House Station Level (Cormain – EL SOL) 2000, Dual Key – Saxeira – Joint Recording 2000, on Sonido Denso Discotheque – (Cormain -The Bounza) 2001, on EDEL – Ibiza Essential House Party (Cormain – EL SOL) 2001, on Sonido Denso – Relahouse in IBIZA (Cormain -The Bounza and Cormain EL SOL) 2001, on Vendetta Records – Eibi-Si’ House Vol.3 (Cormain-The Bounza) 2002. In 2003 Marco, with his friend and colleague Lino “D” Meglio, starts a new project called Street Walker. It is great to start with one of the most beautiful male voices of the house music, the voice of Keith Thompson. Following on Alpha Records they have a remix of a song, “The Beat”, which leads them to reach places of excellence in the world rankings.

On Crowd Limited Marco Corvino and Lino “D” Meglio create the Daddy’s Groove project, whose first release is entitled “Tribute”. On Beside Records is released a soulful project, called Rise & Duck – Chocolate, whose versions are treated by the nearly consolidated duo production Corvino Traxx & Lino “D” Meglio. In 2005 in Naples, along with Antonio Fresa, creates The Op, a school for dj, point of reference for many young people who want to approach this profession. In 2006, on Tonik records, Corvino Traxx & Lino “D” Meglio present “Contrast EP”. During the Miami WMC 06 is presented Corvino Traxx – Everyday that is realising on SoulGroove Records with Net’s Work International – Dynamicode – Sun City (Frank Corvino Traxx feat Frank Iengo). That same year, on Universal Music, is realized Daddy’s Groove – Rendez Vous, composition licensed on numerous compilations in Italy as Striscia la Compilation, Hot Party, Hot Dance Mania, in the world as Universal Music Dance Compilation. In this period Marco works also in the movie environment participating to the creation of many soundtracks as “La leggenda del principe di San Severo”, a Rai trade cartoon, soundtracks of social background short films, as “Napoli @ 1” e “Napoli @ 2”. In the same year, he also participates to the dvd soundtracks concerning the Moto Cross Italian Championship. In 2007 Marco became A & R of a new label called Transalp Records and distributed worldwide on Vinyl by Lavel One. In 2009 Marco Play in CHINA Tour in most club of Beijing , Shanghai and Hong Kong. In 2010 Marco Create a new music project , the name is GROOVE TEMPLATE, the relaese is Craft in Motion on Net’ s Work International, Visual EP on Polluted records, Silicon Dust – Play with you – Groove Template Remix. In 2011 Corvino Traxx feat De La kyo – Voga records, Corvino Traxx – Deep dark – Voga records, on Netswork records Hey Oh let’s Go – Corvino Traxx Rmx, on Animal Music Naples Groove – Corvino Traxx & Swared remix, on Miniaturec Corvino Traxx & Swared presents Orient Express.

Marco continues to teach at the Op and is also engaged in the production of his first LP which should be ready for next year, will be called: “IN MY LIFE.”
